Guessing costs more than measuring
A warning light, a car that struggles to start, or air conditioning that only blows lukewarm – the cause is rarely obvious. Replace parts on suspicion and you often pay twice: first for the wrong part, then for the right one.
We read the fault memory, take measurements and find the cause before removing anything. That sometimes takes a little longer, but it saves money. And a fault found early usually stays small.
Finding faults instead of guessing
Modern cars store faults in the control unit. We read them with a diagnostic tool, then check specifically and only replace what is actually broken. Plus everything around the battery, lights, starter motor, alternator and sensors – and the air-conditioning service.

Duration: about 5 minutes
Read and measure
We read the fault memory and check the affected parts – for example battery and charging voltage, or the air-conditioning system for leaks.
Result and price
We call you, explain the cause in plain words and quote the price for the repair. You decide.
Repair
No repairs on suspicion: only with your go-ahead do we repair, and then we check that the fault is really gone.
Duration: depending on the repair, usually the same day
What does a diagnosis cost?
Fixed price before we start. Extra work only after a phone call. Reading the fault memory and the air-conditioning service have a fixed price that we tell you in advance. You get a separate price for the repair once the cause is clear – we do not remove anything before that.

The engine warning light is on. Can I keep driving?
If it is amber and the car drives normally, you can usually drive carefully to the workshop. If it flashes or a red warning light comes on, stop somewhere safe and give us a call.
What does reading the fault memory cost?
Reading the fault memory is a fixed, modest item – we tell you the price on the phone. Important: the fault code alone is not a diagnosis. We then check specifically where the fault comes from and tell you the repair cost before we start.
My car struggles to start. Battery or alternator?
Either is possible – or the starter motor. We measure the battery, charging voltage and starting current and then know which part is the cause. That way you do not replace the battery first when it is actually the alternator that has stopped charging.
How often does the air conditioning need a service?
We recommend every two years. An air-conditioning system loses a little refrigerant every year, even without a fault. It then cools less well and puts more strain on the compressor.
The air conditioning smells musty. What helps?
Usually bacteria and mould have settled on the evaporator and in the cabin filter. We replace the filter and disinfect the system. After that the air is fresh again.
